Born and raised in Vancouver British Columbia, Jeff Chenatte is a self taught Artist-Blacksmith who has  been honing his craft for the past two decades. Upon completing Graduate Studies at Simon Fraser University, Jeff found himself between the forge and anvil, at a local heritage museum. Instantly he realized that was where he belonged, leaving the fruits of his academic pursuits in the embers of the forge, Jeff began to discover the artist within. His art reflects the earnest roots of this ancient craft and is shaped by a keen awareness of his environment, and how his creations are diametrically opposed to the disposable nature of our contemporary society.  Guided by an intense appreciation of nature and diversity, Jeff strives to imbue sustainable and ecological themes in his art, in both its aesthetic motifs and constituent elements.
